Reyhana Ismail

Hello!

I’m Reyhana – an illustrator, designer and writer, based in Lancashire, UK.

After over a decade as a magazine designer, I turned to children’s book design and illustration in 2018, inspired by my lifelong love of reading. Since then, I’ve worked with a range of UK and international clients, including Hachette Children’s, Scholastic, National Geographic, National Literacy Trust and Storymix.

In 2022, I was selected for the inaugural HarperCollins Design Academy, gaining valuable training in designing for traditional publishing. I then went on to take the HarperCollins Author Academy course in Spring 2025, as my career transitioned to include writing for children.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me baking, reading historical fiction or retellings of Greek myths, or trying to keep my garden in bloom…if I’m not planning my next trip somewhere where turquoise seas and giant mountains fuel my creativity and offer unlimited inspiration.

My illustration work is represented by The Bright Agency.
